Each student will be asked to choose a topic. You are required to find between 7 and 10 articles (about research studies) of around 500-600 words published in scientific magazines since January 2016:

ByMonday 24 April 17 at the latest:

  1. submit your portfolio on Moodle:

Title for your online portfolio: eg. Chemistry – your name – Exoplanets

  1. AND submit a TYPED (NOT handwritten)paper versionof your portfolio to your teacher in the following way. Print double-sided, 2 pages per side.Please staple your work.

You need to include:

-a front page with first name, surname, studies + year, date, title, teacher’s name and course title

- a table of contents

- page numbers

- the articles + analyses on separate sheets(provide article 1 + analysis of article 1; article 2 + analysis of article 2…)

2. ORAL EXAM

The oral exam will take 20 minutes:

1. Preparation : 10 minutes : You will receive 1 or 2 of your texts. You will need to present the study.YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN COPY OF THE ARTICLES (NO ANNOTATIONS).

2.Actual oral exam with your teacher: 10 minutes

You will have to explain why you chose your topic and present the study.

You will also be asked questions about the vocabulary in the text. You may have to identify tenses and justify their use in context.
