SA crime rate due to a leaderless police service - Solidarity

Trade union Solidarity this week said the increase in serious crime should be laid at the door of a leaderless police service that failed to combat crime. In addition the Solidarity Movement announces plans to promote community safety.

Nearly 1,8 million crimes were reported to police stations in the 2014-’15 financial year, and there was a sharp rise in serious crimes such as murder and robbery.
