There will be NO make-up exams unless you have an extreme emergency. If you cannot make the scheduled date for the exam you must contact me in advance to arrange a special make-up exam. If you forget there is an exam that is not an excuse. The make up exam will be different from the exam taken by the rest of the class.

DROP The Class

It is the student’s responsibility to DROP the class, not the instructor’s. Please remember, if you are on the roster at the end of the term, I have to give you a grade. Please remember to DROP if you are not taking the class.

Codes of Conduct and Academic Honesty:

My expectation is that students in this class will exhibit professional and business-like conduct. Please respect your fellow students and their educational efforts. Discussions with other students should be held outside of class. If special circumstances require you to leave class early, I expect you to clear it with me prior to the beginning of class. Electronic communication devices (including cell phones) are not to be used in the classroom – no text messaging, computer games, email, etc. while in class. You should be in your seat and ready to go at the class starting time. In the business world, chronic tardiness gets you fired. Same here.

Please do your own work. Cheating on any exam will result in a grade of “F” for the exam.

Student Responsibilities

Since this is a basic class in business, you are expected to manage yourself and your classwork in a professional manner. In addition to staying on schedule, you are expected to conduct yourself according to all of the normal college rules in your classroom. It is expected you will complete your reading prior to coming to class. You will gain much more from the lecture and activities if you do.

Teacher Responsibilities

Your instructor is committed to making this a successful and exciting learning experience. She will make herself available in whatever way necessary to support your learning and progress. The fastest way to reach your instructor with questions is by email. Please email with any questions you have regarding the class. We will have case studies, group activities, discussion and scheduled exams. Each of these provide opportunities for learning and accumulating points towards your grade. Questions about your progress or grades can be directed to your instructor at any time during the semester.
