In the Name of God Amen I Richard
Brayshaw of Gigleswick in the County of York Yeoman do make my last will
and Testament in manner and form following first I Give and devise unto my son
Richard Brayshaw all those severall Closes and parcels of land comonly called and
known by the severall names of the Scarr the Hempland the longlanes the Low moore
and the newfield Scituate lying and being in the Township of Gigleswick aforesaid
and also one other Close or parcell of land in the Township of Settle in the County
aforesaid called pleisgilholme To hold to my said son his heirs Exects. adms. and
Assignes according to the severall Estats I have therein subject Neverthe less to
the payment of all my just debts and funerall expences Also I give and devise
unto my Two daughters mary the wife of Mr Henry Town and Jane Brayshaw the
sum of Ten pounds Each to be paid to them respectively at the end of three yeares
next after my decease by my said son Richard in case the lands hereinbefore
bequeathed to him shall be sufficient to raise the Same over and above what will
be necessary for the payment of my said debts and funerall Expences Also I
Give unto my said daughter Jane the House or Tenement which I purchased of
William Birkitt To hold to her her Exors admts and assignes for all such Terms
and numbers of years as are now unspent and to come in the Same Also I Give
and devise unto Jane my wife my said son Richard and my son Thomas all that
messuage or dwelling House wherein I now live with the Barns and other Buildings
thereunto belonging together with all the Gardens and the Two upper and two lower Orchards
all which said premisses are Scituate in Gigleswick aforesaid To hold unto my said
wife my said sons Richard and Thos. for and during their natural lives of my said
wife and son Thomas and the survivor of them and from and after the decease of
the Survivor of them then I Give and devise the said last mentioned messuage
and premisses unto my said son Richard his heirs Execs adms and assignes accordinging
to my severall Estates therein and I will that my said wife shall have the Tuition of ..
Guardianship of my children all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate Reall
and personall I Give and devise unto my said son Richard who I appoint Exect.
of this my will In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the

signed published and declared by the said Estator as and for his last will
and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request
