33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
Salary / £20,000 to £25,000 (depending on experience)
Purpose of Job / To assume responsibility for:
1. All areas of financial administration
2. Administrative support for HR processes
3. Systems related to policies and procedures
4. Administrative support for Programmes Manager
Area of work / Admin Office – currently Derby but may be required to attend meetings in other locations

Roles and Duties / The Enthusiasm Trust has been working locally for over 20 years and is experiencing a period of growth. The Programmes Manager is the internal leader of the charity and is looking for someone to support the financial administration and policy/procedures in order to ensure excellence in the business operations.
FINANCE
1. Ensure that all finances are properly administered and monitored, including maintenance of petty cash, accurate input & monitoring of the various income streams using SAGE 50 software, payment of bills, bank reconciliation etc
2. Preparation of monthly financial management reports for the Programmes Manager to present at Senior Management and the Board meetings and be prepared to provide this information as and when is needed, including:
a. management accounts
b. financial statements
c. budgets
d. forecasts
e. variance reports
f. cash flow
g. preparation of our annual financial statements for external audit
h. ensuring legal compliance and returns to the charity commission and companies house
3. Create and maintain financial spreadsheets, including income and expenditure financial profiles using a per cost-centre model
4. Oversee the payroll function
5. To maintain awareness of and suggest new, efficient methods of financial management including new technologies
HR
6. Provide administrative support for all HR related queries, liaising with the on-call legal line as required
7. Administer HR related documentation such as contracts of employment
8. Ensure HR files are up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
MONITORING
9. Responsible for the accurate and regular collation of performance and financial information against agreed targets
10. To contribute to monitoring and analysis conversations, systems and documentation
11. To prepare monitoring information to support the identification of trends, issues and service gaps requiring consideration.
ADMINISTRATION
12. To provide day-to-day administrative support to the Programmes Manager, including diary management, minute taking, report writing, letter writing, travel arrangements etc
13. To support the Programmes Manager to monitor the performance of the business
14. Be responsible for researching and supporting the roll-out of additional policies and procedures as needed and overseeing the policy review cycle
GENERAL
15. To lead and work as part of a team to fulfil the aims and purpose of Enthusiasm.
16. To carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities and safeguarding framework.
17. As necessary and in addition to the above, to undertake development and management of other activities commensurate with the level of the post and Enthusiasm service needs.
Person Specification
Essential
· Educated to A level/equivalent or higher
· Must be proficient in every aspect of SAGE LINE 50 accounting software
· Strong financial skills – particularly the preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasts, financial statements, updates and reports
· Strong administration skills
· An ability to direct and advise Senior Management on finance related matters eg. Preparing budgets
· Good working knowledge of computerised financial systems and desktop applications including Microsoft Office and particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
· Experience of monitoring expected outcomes against funders/shareholders/owners agreed aims and objectives
· Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, particularly report writing
· Strong planning and organisational skills
· Experience of liaising with colleagues at multiple locations
· Must have a flexible approach to working
· Ability to work under pressure and the ability to work to short deadlines
· Strict adherence to confidentiality, particularly in respect to sensitive financial information, personal details and background of staff and project participants.
· A commitment to and understanding of equality and diversity
Desired
· Holding or working towards an accounting qualification would be advantageous
· Knowledge of Charity and Company financial regulations and requirements
· Knowledge of management accounting software in addition to SAGE LINE 50 (eg. Microsoft Forecaster) would be advantageous
· Understanding of HR
· Experience of working within the voluntary sector.
· Knowledge of deprived communities, young people and families.
· Full Driving Licence
