Role Title: Event Steward – (volunteer)
Department: Fundraising
Reporting to: Fundraiser
Location: Dependent on event.
Why am I needed?
Tenovus raise thousands of pounds every single year through running events. Events happen all throughout the year, from corporate dinners to runs and fun days, and we are always looking for volunteers who can offer their support at an event. The role is very flexible and you can sign up to different events as and when you are able to.
What will I be doing?
- You will be asked to come along to an event and helping with the smooth running. This may involve cheering on our race participants or welcoming guests and showing them their seats at a dinner, it really all depends on the event. You will be representing Tenovus at the event and will be supported by members of the team.
What skills do I need?
- This role will suit people who are outgoing and enthusiastic. You will enjoy being part of a team and working within your local community to raise money and to support the charity.
How much time do I need to commit?
If possible, you will be able to give a couple of hours at the event.
What support and training will I be given?
- You will be provided with a volunteer brief prior to the event which will help you on the day.
- A Fundraiser will be on hand to support you on the day and in the run up to the event.
