- District PTA Creation and Mission
- LHS, NFS, Dondero PTA/PTO Boards have come together to create a Portsmouth District Elementary School PTA/PTO.
- Major reason was to Host Harlem Wizards together, and has since become a great idea to continue as a recognized group.
- Benefits each school as we can pool resources from the community, get ideas of what works and doesn’t work throughout the district, and able to host larger fundraising events that benefit all elementary schools.
- Discussed need to have legitimate bylaws, mission for protections against possible liabilities.
- Libby Giordano to contact NHPTA representative to understand better our options and if this can be officially recognized.
- Aimee Raymond suggested a way to possibly organize District PTA/O leadership roles throughout the years.
- VP from each board hosts meeting, rotating throughout the school year based on number of meetings - one a month depending on event activity
