Practices
Through the Month of December
Monday Tuesday and Thursday- Ages 4,5,6 year olds from 6-7pm
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday- Ages 7 and up from 7-8pm
- We may add voluntary practices, live wrestling sessions and sometimes we scrimmage against other teams during the season. I will always give plenty of notice if we do scrimmage another team or set up extra sessions.
- As of right now we do not practice over Christmas break.
Competition Schedule
Below are the dates and directions for our meets I will update the times as soon as possible. We have a roll call time and a start time. The first thing we do at our meets is take roll and then the coaches’ meet to set up matches. The goal is for everyone to have at least one match. Many times we have 2-4 matches during a competition. It is very important to be on time for the roll call. After roll call we start to warm up. Whenever wrestlers are late it holds up the start of the competition so please be on time for the roll call. There are times that schedules change due to weather and sometimes schools have reschedules that would take precedence over our programs. Right now these are the tentative dates and times for the competitions.
Sunday January 8th At Seneca High School –
Seneca Robbinsville Lenape and Maple Shade
Roll Call - 9:30 is a tentative start time
Wrestling to start- 10 am is a tentative start time
Depending on the amount of wrestlers there may be split sessions
Directions: Parking for wrestling events is located in the BACK of the school. Follow Seneca Drive
ALL THE WAY TO THE FOOTBALL / SPORTS STADIUM BEFORE MAKING A LEFT INTO
THE PARKING AREA. Do NOT park in the front of the school, or along the curbs or
roadways leading to the back of the school. Do NOT try to enter the school from the front,
you will NOT be able to get back to the wrestling area. There are more than 1,000 parking
spaces located in the back of the school near the gyms! Enter the gyms / wrestling room
using the gym entrances located between the two large gyms in the REAR of the school.

From the Red Lion Circle (intersection of Route 70 & Route 206): Head south on Rt. 206 for
1.2 miles. You will see a left hand turn (marked with signs for County Route 648 South,
Tabernacle and Carranza Memorial). Make a left onto Rt. 648 / Carranza Road, go 1.3 miles to
blinking light (you can see school off to the left as you approach the light).
Make a left at the blinking light onto Seneca Drive. Go approximately 2/10 of a mile ALL THE
WAY TO THE END OF SENECA DRIVE (near field sports stadium) and make a left in front of the
stadium. Make another left into parking lots (at the point, you will see the two main gyms, with
entrances in the middle between the gyms).
From Tabernacle Inn on Route 206: From the traffic light at 206 and Medford Lakes/Tabernacle
Road, continue north on Rte. 206 for 1 mile to traffic light at Hawkins Road (you will see a little
shopping center to your right as you approach the light). Make a right onto Hawkins Road and go
the end of the road (approximately ¾ mile). You will see the school directly in front of you. Make
a right onto Carranza Road and proceed to blinking light (approximately 1/10 mile). Turn left onto
Seneca Drive and follow directions above from blinking light.
From the south on I-295: Get off at exit for Route 70 East. Go east on Rte. 70 to Red Lion
Circle (intersection of Rte. 70 and Rte. 206). Follow directions above from Red Lion Circle.
From the south on the NJ Turnpike: Get off at exit 4 from the south. Head south on Rte. 73 to
Rte. 70 East (at Marlton Circle). Head east on Rte. 70 until you get to the Red Lion Circle. Follow
directions above from Red Lion Circle.
From the north on I-295 or NJ Turnpike (Exit 7 from north): Head south on Rte. 206 for
approximately 17 ½ miles to Red Lion Circle. Follow directions above from Red Lion Circle.
From the west on Rte. 70: Head east on Rte. 70. Follow directions from I-295 and Rte. 70 to
Red Lion Circle. Follow directions above from Red Lion Circle.
From the east on Rte. 70: Head west on Rte. 70 to Rte

You may use the below directions. Older map programs may not have the most recent numerical address of the Middle School. If your map program or GPS does not show this address you may use the intersection of Baird Road and Waters Lane as the ending point for correct directions.
The new Millstone Middle School is located at this intersection. Waters Lane has very recently been renamed to Dawson Court.
Directions:
1.Take New Jersey Turnpike North (New York) (toll required for some segments)
2.Take Exit 8 (Hightstown, Freehold) on (toll required for some segments) 0.6 miles
3.Take RT-33 E (Twin Rivers, Freehold) ramp on 0.2 miles
4.Continue onto RT-33 (Franklin St) 0.6 miles
5.Continue onto RT-33 E 5.6 miles
6.Turn right at light onto Woodville Rd (ALT CR-527) 1.3 miles
7.Turn sharply onto Baird Rd 0.6 miles
8.Turn onto Dawson Ct (Previously Waters Lane) <0.1 miles
9.Millstone Middle School is directly on left.
10.Travel up Dawson Court and park in the parking lot on the far right of the school.
11.Enter the school at the Main Gymnasium Entrance

Directions to the Kennedy Center
From 295 North and South
Travel Route 295 to exit 45 and follow towards Willingboro. Merge on to Beverly-Rancocas Road. Travel 2 miles and make a right turn on to JFK Way (Gas station on the corner). The center is about a mile on your left.
From Route 130 North and South
Travel Route 130 towards Willingboro. Exit on to Levitt Parkway (If your coming from the north, you will have to take the jug handle to make your left, if your coming from the south make a right on Levitt). Follow Levitt Parkway 2 miles to JFK Way and make a left turn. The center is on the left.
Sunday February 19th Best of the Best Tournament at Maple Shade
We host this tournament for the league and is a fundraiser for our team. We will need help with set up, concession stand and table workers. This tournament is for ages (9-10)Midgets, Juniors(11-12) and Intermediates12-13) with a ranking of 4 or higher. More information on this to come.
Sunday February 26th- Year end Grapevine Tournament at Moorestown High School
Times to be announced. This tournament is set up like our meets where the kids are ranked by skill, age and weight and are put into groups of 4. They usually get 2 matches All wrestlers are in this tournament unless you place in the top 3 at the Best of the Best. There are medals for 1-4 place(all wrestlers get a medal). The cost of this tournament is already built into your registration
Additional Information Table Workers, Concession stand help
We have been fortunate to keep our registration cost low and would like to keep it that way. In the past and hopefully this season we have been very fortunate to have the Maple Shade High School Wrestlers come and run our tables at our meets. This is something that we cannot always depend on and may need additional Backups if the Maple Shade Wrestlers cannot make it to some of our home meets. Without volunteer table scorers we cannot hold our competitions.
We also hold a concession stand and this money is what is used to pay for the facilities usage of the High School and referees. We will also need help in this area as well.
Please keep this in mind when we send around sheets for volunteers for table workers and concession stand help. We will have a training session for the table workers, it is not a difficult as it looks.

Optional Tournament Information
There are tournaments that go on year round. If you would like additional information on them , there is a spot on our website. These are additional and there is a cost to enter. Sometimes the Maple Shade Youth Coaches will be there and sometimes they are not since these are optional. If you are thinking about going to a tournament and the MSYW coaches will not be there I can give you information on how to coach your child at these matches. Please see me.
