2.4 Accessories

Airflow Controls:

Automatic Dampers:

A. SmartAire® MZ: Multi-zone Automatic VAV damper [field mounted to DirectAire Al] [installed beneath DirectAire] [installed beneath DirectAire X2] panel and shall meet the following specifications:

1. Finish & Material: Damper shall be manufactured and factory finished in black anodized aluminum and Black E-Coat.

2. Airflow Performance: Damper shall have the following airflow performance when installed with the following panels. The method used to determine airflow shall be in conformance with CISCA A/F, Section 10, “Air Leakage Test”, with a minimum 12" high finished floor height, and shall be recorded as the difference between two measured airflow rates: firstly with a bare panel floor installation and secondly with the aforementioned airflow panel and damper installed within the test apparatus.

a. 1867 CFM or greater at 100% open and 129 CFM or less at 0% open when tested at 0.10” of static pressure when installed on an DirectAire® Al in a typical raised floor environment

b. 2041 CFM or greater at 100% open and 248 CFM or less at 0% open when tested at 0.10” of static pressure when installed on a DirectAire® in a typical raised floor environment

3. Design Features: Damper shall include the following features:

a. Shall have Electronic Fail open damper safety system

b. Shall be adjustable from 0-100%

c. Shall be adjustable without the removal of the airflow panel when used in conjunction with aforementioned panel.

d. Shall have four independent automatically controlled zones.

e. Shall be constructed of extruded aluminum frame and damper blades.

f. Shall operate with a high speed continuous PID loop.

g. Shall provide Dual mode where unit operates in two zones to provide control to two zones.

h. Shall provide Single mode where unit operates in one zone to provide control to a single zone.

i. Shall provide individual buttons for zone disabling.

j. Shall provide access to zone temperatures and position directly through interface of unit.

k. Shall provide power and networking connection for CAT 5 with power supplied by Power over Ethernet (PoE) with IEEE 802.3af Standard.

l. Shall provide alternative power connection with 2.1x5.5mm center positive 5V min 2A.

m. Shall provide Single button control between Fahrenheit and Celsius.

n. Shall provide Auxiliary connection for Client mode with 0-10VDC signal control.

o. Shall provide Auxiliary connection for Technician mode with 0VDC off and 10VDC Boolean activation and temperature control.

p. Shall provide on board TCP/IP advanced configuration and monitoring through modern web browsers and a typical DHCP network connection

q. Shall provide SNMP network connectivity for monitoring and control through the use of SET, GET and TRAP functions.
