Welcome
Gatley Medical Centre serves the whole of Gatley village and outlying areas. Our team includes four GP partners, one GP Registrar, two Practice Nurses, one Health Care Assistants as well as our Practice Manager, reception and administrative staff.
We offer a full general practice service and run specialist clinics for children and pregnant women, diabetes and asthma sufferers and for patients needing minor surgery. At Gatley Medical Centre, we aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence. We feel it is important you know who you are speaking to, so our practice staff wear a name badge and should identify themselves on the telephone.
Gatley Medical Centre is a ‘training practice’. This means we are approved as a training practice for fully qualified hospital doctors who have chosen general practice as their future career. They join the practice usually for a year before entering full time general practice. As part of their training they have to video some of their consultations. Your consent will be required before they can do this and you are at liberty to decline. We may also be occasionally be involved in the training of medical students and practice nurses.
This leaflet is for both existing patients and those considering registering with us. It tells you about our services, how to access them and some general information about how our practice operates. It also gives more information on our Patient Participation Group.
If you live in our practice area and would like to register with us, please complete one of our registration forms that are available from all our receptions. On the form, you will be able to say which practitioner you would prefer to see. However, you will be registering with the practice rather than an individual GP.
