HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALISTS
Purpose/Primary Function:
Multiple specialized HR opportunities are available in a fast-paced, high energy, rapid growth environment that embraces creativity and the ability to leverage Human Resource principles toward the mutual maximization of company and employee success. Expertise in the following fundamental HR disciplines is currently being sought:
Corporate benefit program management
Employee/organizational development
Human Capital Management (HCM) systems
Recruitment & onboarding
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain employee benefit programs, educate employees on benefit offerings, and recommend plan changes to senior management based on careful assessment of needs and trends.
- Proactively ensure full compliance with ever-changing Affordable Care Act provisions.
- Direct all innovative wellness program initiatives in support of employee engagement with regard to personal health ultimately maximizing employee welfare and productivity while minimizing claims costs.
- Oversee other assorted benefit program activities, such as working with external advisors to obtain and evaluate contract bids, design and conduct employee educational programs, and assist in the processing of occasional complex benefit claims.
Manage the employee development and performance feedback process.
- Work with department leadership to provide analytics on team performance that ultimately drives performance enhancements and succession planning initiatives.
- Create and maintain a database of training needs, make recommendations, and execute a plan to deliver such needs based on priority and budgetary parameters.
- Identify best practices of leadership pipeline programs and promote the consistent application of such programs across the organization.
Achieve mastery level expertise and exhibit a very high degree of demonstrated aptitude among Trex’s internal HCM platform.
- Maintain current HCM database to include both standard and ad hoc report generation, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all pertinent payroll deductions, and serve as primary troubleshooter when database problems arise while maintaining the security integrity of such confidential information.
Provide key functional support with regard to wide-range recruitment and onboarding across the organization.
- Work closely with hiring managers to ensure the appropriate approval of employment requisitions while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the exact skill sets and competencies needed for each position.
- Advertise employment opportunities (both internally and externally), monitor applicant flow and source for qualified candidates, conduct interviews, and make recommendations (from an HR perspective) to management.
- Coordinate the timely flow of pre-employment paperwork in a highly organized fashion.
- Conduct a comprehensive orientation presentation to create a very positive first impression with all newly hired employees.
Experience, Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Resources or related field; Master’s a plus.
- Qualified applicants must possess hands-on experience with demonstrated proficiencies in two or more of the aforementioned HR disciplines.
- PHR/SPHR preferred.
