Classroom Guidelines and Expectations
1. Students should come to class every day prepared. Chemistry will require work! Chemistry is a math based upper level science, so you cannot be successful if you do not work.
2. Every day, you will need your binder, pencil, paper, and a calculator.
3. You can decide how you would like to take notes, but some form of notes is required each day.
4. Homework is given on a regular basis. However, you should have time in class to complete it. If not, you should finish it at home or during Bull Time. Homework is collected on the day of the unit test.
5. Late work will lose 10% every day it is late. This will not be accepted after 5 days!
6. BYOT: NO CELL PHONES!!! Personal laptops and tablets maybe used during notes, but only for instructional purposes.
7. Cell Phones will also be collected during tests and quizzes. Failure to turn in your phone may result in the loss of credit.
8. Our class will be performing labs on a weekly basis. You must follow lab safety guidelines at all times. Failure to perform labs safely will result in a warning the first time. If you are playing around a second time, you will be asked to sit out of the lab and receive a zero lab grade. If we are performing an experiment with chemicals, you can be sat down immediately.
9. Students will not have their own textbook to take home. They will be in the classroom for your use and may be checked out if necessary.
10. Tests should be made up within 5 days of an absence. Homework is due the day you return.
11. Tutoring will be offered during Bull Time at least once a week. Lecture videos will also be on my YouTube channel periodically for reference.
Bull Time
I have 4 Bull Times each week that will be designated for make-up work or a certain class. Bull Times will be assigned based on individual performance data and by teacher discretion.

You will have extra content topics embedded throughout the semester.
