ATTENDANCE:Please sign in and out each day, come prepared, on time and ready to work. If you want to make up a class, you may go to any of MY other classes but you will probably not get what you missed as the classes are at different paces so you may be assigned make up work to complete. It is very VERY important that you treat school like a job and don’t miss.

You can earn a perfect attendance job letter for your resume. This also counts for your NAEHS

TUTORS can be requested from our volunteer coordinator and you will study with themat agreeable times.

SMOKING: This is a non smoking building and property. You are invited to smoke at the designated smoking area away from building. Please put butts in appropriate receptacle and not on ground.

FOOD/DRINK: Light snacks (not full meals) may be eaten at the table in class – or you may eat at the tables in lobby during your break. Please No eating or drinking around the computers.

MATERIALS NEEDED: Please have a pencil and it is helpful if you have a folder for your work and a notebook. We will assign you various free computer accounts to use for homework, send worksheets and sign out books only as necessary and you are to return them when assignment is finished.

TIME REQUIRED:I am often asked how long this will take. Most people can show a substantial gain after 40-60 hours of class work (about 6 weeks of class). Passing the HSE is totally dependent on the person and where they are starting from, how far they have to go, how quickly they learn and retain knowledge and how much effort they exert. Some do it in several weeks and others take up to several years. On average about a semester or year of study gets most people to their goal. The test is increasing in difficulty for the last time this month. Any previous complete and passing HSE scores still count but not GED scores.

REWARDS: When you leave our program you will have your Work Keys Certificate, Your HSE, Job Skills and hopefully a job if you are looking for one or Full admission to a Post Secondary Training/college of your choice. Together we can do this!
