Description: / WG America is seeking a seasoned Human Resource Manager with exceptional people skills to fill a newly created HR Manager position. The candidate must have experience as an HR Manager in a small to mid-size company (75-250 employees), as an HR Manager of one.The candidate will possess strong knowledge of employment laws, recruiting experience, payroll experience and the ability to help enhance our culture in a positive way. The candidate will work closely with the department managers and report to the CFO. The HR Manager should be energetic, respectful, compassionate, and able to thrive in a face-paced environment.
Duties: /
  • Manages and resolves day-to-day and complex employee relations issues. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Ensure consistent application of all corporate policies and departmental guidelines. Communicate HR programs and policies to and address all related questions.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual manager coaching needs.
  • Leads New Hire Orientation to ensure the onboarding process is complete and in compliance with Company guidelines. Participates in the interview, selection and on-boarding process.
  • Recruit applicants form a variety of sources. Job boards, technical schools, colleges and staffing agencies. Build and maintain relationships with sources. Attend job fairs as needed.
  • Responsible for spearheading our corporate training and certification programs.
  • Coaches and trains managers and supervisors.
  • Process the company payroll.
  • Champion employee engagement activities within the Company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: /
  • Five (5) years HR Manager experience with a degree, ten (10) years HR Manager experience in lieu of a degree or combined equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize.
  • Strong employment law knowledge.
  • Strong analytical & consultative skills.
  • Exceptional oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and corporate training.
  • Regular hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, but you must have the ability to work outside of regular business hours as needed.
