July 2017
Dear New Third Grader and Family,
I am thrilled to be teaching third grade again this year and am even more excited that you will be in my class! It is hard to believe that school will be starting soon. I have been working very hard to get ready for the upcoming school year. Besides working, I have been enjoying time with my daughters playing, swimming, and of course, reading! I hope that you have enjoyed all aspects of your summer thus far, and have made time to read, as well.
I am really looking forward to meeting you at the ‘Meet and Greet’ on Tuesday, August 1stfrom1:00-3:00. During that time, you are welcome to come by to introduce yourself, see our classroom, and drop off any supplies. Our first day of school will be Thursday, August 3rd. It will be a fun-filled half-day; dismissal will be at 11:10! Each grade level has chosen a color to represent their class and the third grade color is purple. If possible, please wear purple clothing on the first day.
Listed below are classroom supplies that you will need throughout the year in third grade. Our class is going to use a ‘Tracker’ again year that is similar to the intermediate grades. I feel that this is an outstanding organizational tool and an amazing opportunity for our class.
