Are you confident, proactive and target-driven with a strong sales background and the passion to make a difference to the lives of young people in the North East? If so, our vibrant National Citizen Service (NCS) team could be right up your street.

A fast-paced and youth-led working environment will see you based in the Teesside or North Tyneside area with travel expected across the North East as you work on your own initiative as well as within our buzzing team to get teenagers involved in life-changing programmes. Expect varied and interesting workdays as you build key relationships and get out and about in schools, colleges and elsewhere to talk to young people about NCS.

Best of all, you will be helping young people to reach their potential by getting involved in the life-changing National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.

National Citizen Service is a personal and social development programme for young people aged 16-17. The NCS Trust has awarded vInspired Education and NYA Education a multi-million pound contract to deliver NCS across the North East of England and maintain quality whilst achieving significant growth throughout the contract period, from autumn 2015 – summer 2018.

The Recruitment Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of this contract as a member of the Regional Recruitment Team. This role will be the first point of contact for many young people with the NCS programme and it is our Coordinators who sell the benefits of NCS to young people and their key influencers (parents, teachers and youth workers) and ensure that our target audiences fully understand the benefits to taking part in NCS. Our team of Recruitment Coordinators will deliver our three year regional recruitment strategy, engaging with schools and colleges to sign up over 20,000 eligible young people across the contract period. The post holder will need energy, enthusiasm, flexibility and a creative approach to secure expressions of interest and applications from young people for follow up by our conversion team and subcontractors.
