Leading Artists Rock Acoustic Style with Lâg Guitars
— Lâg guitars offer a familiar feel to today’s top players —
WINTER NAMM SHOW, ANAHEIM, CA, January 19, 2012 — Since their introduction to the U.S. market, Lâg Guitars (Booth 6440 / Hall A) have been growing in popularity among the whole range of guitarists, from beginners to seasoned pros. Four notable acts who have come to rely on Lâg are rockers Gus G. and Richie Kotzen, Polar Bear Club and Stone Sour’s Josh Rand.
Heavy metal guitarist Gus G., best known for his work as Ozzy Osbourne’s current axeman and for his own band Firewind, recently got his acoustic shred on thanks to the fast, comfortable necks and high quality tone of Lâg Guitars. Gus G. is currently using his Lâg Tramontane custom six- and 12-string guitars during Firewind’s busy fall 2011 international tour season. He comments, “Lâg guitars are instruments of the highest quality out there. I use the Tramontane six-string and 12-string acoustic guitars, and their tone is simply amazing!”
Prolific singer/songwriter and solo artist Richie Kotzen — well known for his work with everyone from pop/rock bands like Poison and Mr. Big to jazz/fusion groups like Vertu featuring Stanley Clarke and Lenny White — will be using his new Lâg six-string custom koa guitar on his winter 2011-2012 tour in support of his upcoming new album, 24 Hours (to be released November 2011). Commenting on his new guitar, he says, “I am thrilled to be a part of the Lâg acoustic guitar family. Not only did Lâg build me a world-class acoustic guitar to my specs, but they are able to offer high quality instruments right off the rack.”
Indie Rock act Polar Bear Club’s new LP Crash Battle Guilt Pride was released in September 2011 and has been acclaimed by critics and fans alike. The album debuted in the Billboard Top 200, and the band recently completed a U.S. headlining tour and will soon head to Europe to support Rise Against and Tom Morello/The Nightwatchman. The band’s guitarists – Jimmy Stadt, Chris Browne, and Nate Morris – have been using Lâg Tramontane T300DCE and T200JCE acoustic guitars.
Lâg has also recently signed an endorsement deal with metal act Stone Sour’s Josh Rand. As the band continues to spread their unique brand of modern hard rock, Rand will be using Lâg’s nylon-string Tramontane TN300A14CE acoustic guitar.
