Boise Curling Club October Meeting Minutes

Old Business

  1. League begins Oct 15th
  2. Wear clean shoes and/or replace grippers
  3. Volunteers needed to clean broom heads
  4. Member meeting needed before league starts
  5. Pizza? Decided against due to start time
  6. Meet 45 minutes before start- consensus
  7. Rachaelle to notify club members about required meeting
  8. 5th Freezer
  9. Gary to add lock prior to league start
  10. Sheet stones will be at room temp at the start of the match, then moved to freezer
  11. Floor curling set
  12. Has been ordered
  13. Need to create surface for floor set
  14. Phoenix sent plans
  15. Need volunteers to build, Josh agreed to help
  16. LTC
  17. Oct 1 update
  18. ~30 people including 6 Girl Scouts
  19. Facebook add reached 7000+ people
  20. Other electronic outlets used as well
  21. Future dates need to be added to website
  22. Watch parties; need to find locations and promote
  23. Curling Night in America
  24. Olympics and Trials
  25. Current Ice Conditions
  26. Need cross cut
  27. Ice will be pulled out May 2018; might interfere with spring league (expected to go through May)

  3. Expecting 10-18 people
  4. KTVB morning show
  5. Larry Gebart is interested need information on what would be covered
  6. Board suggests: lack of age limit, rules, clubs in the area, equipment, modified delivery
  7. Adopt-a-Highway will be turned back to ACHD
  8. Trunk-or-Treat
  9. Nampa campus
  10. 5-8p on Oct 27th
  11. Demo floor curling if ready
