1.  JOB DETAILS

1.1.  Job Title: Data Input Administrator

1.2.  Department: Lagan Valley Rural Transport

1.3.  Responsible to: Manager

1.4.  Reporting to: Clerical Dispatch Officer

1.5.  Hours: 20 per week

1.6.  Location: The Courtyard, Larchfield Estate, Bailliesmills Road,

Lisburn BT27 6XJ

2.  ROLE OUTLINE

2.1.  To compile, update, input and retrieve data using the computer system, and to assist in the general office duties of Lagan Valley Rural Transport.

3.  MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1.  To collate membership, transport and statistical data keeping the computer database accurate and up to date, compile and run off reports as required.

3.2.  To undertake office duties, including use of word-documents, spreadsheets, databases, photocopying, filing and mailing.

3.3.  To make and receive telephone calls, facsimile and e-mail communications.

3.4.  To take transport bookings and answer enquiries.

3.5.  To provide clerical support for the Manager and Clerical Dispatch Officer.

3.6.  To assist with the preparation of the weekly schedules for drivers, collect worksheets.

3.7.  Be sensitive to the needs and wishes of the membership and staff of Lagan Valley Rural Transport.

4. GENERAL

4.1.  Employees shall carry out their duties with full regard to the organisations Policies and Procedures, as laid out in the Staff Handbook.

4.2.  To ensure that all information received and disseminated, whether verbal or written, concerning passengers is treated in the strictest confidence, and that all such information held is regulated and controlled in a similar manner.

4.3.  To act at all times with due regard to the organisations Health and Safety Policies and related Codes of Practice.

4.4.  Attend and participate in training and/or development events from time to time, as required.

4.5.  In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, employees may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Manager or Clerical Dispatch Officer from time to time. Such ‘other duties’ will be reasonable in relation to the employees’ skills, abilities and status.

5.1.1.  Basic experience of computing and keyboard skills

5.1.2.  A reasonable geographical knowledge of the area
