HOUSING ASSN./RSL REPRESENTATION(B/F15/11/04)
The Forum agreed to co-opt a Housing Association representative and asked that a request be made to the Redriff TA (who represent approx. 5 RSL’s) to appoint a representative.
Action taken:PA wrote to Redriff TA on 14/1/05. Received a reply dated 23/2/05saying sorry they are unable to take on this role and are not in a position to offer any alternative group.

BRITISHLAND (B/F 15/11/04):
1. Environmental Impact
BritishLand would be asked to outline their plans to limit environmental damage (including the removal of spoil) at the next Forum meeting (14/3/05).

EVALUATION OF THE FORUM’S ROLE (B/F 15/11/04):

PA still seeking volunteers to take ownership of each of the following papers: Built Environment, Community & Leisure, Green Issues, Social Inclusion and Youth.

HEALTH:John Hellings has invited the PCT to make a presentation to the May CWCF meeting.
EDUCATION:LBS Education Martin Wilcox(Principal Planning Officer) hopes to report to the May CWCF meeting.
REVISION OF S106 GUIDELINES (B/F 15/11/04)
SP to arrange for a Policy Planning Officer to brief Forum on new LBS S106 guidelines at next Forum (14/3
Action:taken:CWCF wrote to Adam Faulkner requesting update. PA/JR attended theBankside Forum where emerging LBS policy was discussed.
TRANSPORT (10/1/05):
CWCF would formally write to Val Shawcross as follows:
a) Request that an ELL Engineer attend a future Forum meeting to explain the plans for the ELL extension with a particular focus on the impact of the increased train frequency on residents adjacent to the open cast line from Canada Water to Surrey Quays and beyond and the Crystal Bridge structure.
b) Advise TfL of the on going concerns expressed by the Forum and the community regarding the current 381 bus service.
c) Request an estimate and date on when the extra Jubilee Line carriage and additional signalling would be implemented as it was understood both schemes had been given the go-ahead.
In addition, also write to LBS Chris Mascord requesting:
i) The submission of the LBS bid to TfL to fund further comprehensive studies.
ii) Quick fixes’ that are in the pipeline, namely modifications for Seven Islands junction, bus lanes narrowing and hours of operation, tunnel roundabout adjustments, etc.
iii) The terms of reference, desired outcome and time-scale of the traffic study agreed by Rotherhithe Community Council.
Action taken:CWCF written to Val Shawcross, Cllr Richard Thomas and Chris Mascord. Joined the Southwark Transport Forum. RCC terms of reference have been clarified (BL/CDH/ELL). Compiling data from a
variety of sources – ongoing.
ENVIRONMENT (B/F 15/11/04):
The Forum should write formally to LBS/British Land outlining the community’s concerns in relation to the environmental impact caused by the future development of sites. A list of expectations should be given, ie vehicle tonnage, covered skips, wheel washing, road watering, planned routes for lorry movement (avoiding school routes/local estates), parking of plant in the vicinity, lorry engines not left running, etc. etc. In addition, Encroachment into wildlife areas will have particular significance to the Canada Water/Albion Channel/Surrey.
Health/Poor Air Quality (10/1/05):
The Forum would write formally to Southwark Council/TfL/Mayor concerning the impact on health and the failures to meet 2003 or 2005 standards. It was felt the current traffic configuration and 24/7 bus lanes exacerbated the problem.
Action taken:PA wrote to Cllr Richard Thomas and met with Bill Legassick.
MULBERRY SITE (B/F 15/11/04):
The CWCF agreed that Brian Hodge should speak on their behalf at the forthcoming Planning Committee Hearing.
Action taken: CWCF attended Hearing and spoke on 17th February, 2005. Public
Enquiry at Bankside House reconvenes 10.00am on 14/3/05 (2 days)
DOWNTOWN PLANNING APPLICATION (B/F 15/11/04):
SP agreed to request site/copies of the revised Downtown Plans from Planning Control.

Gareth Osborn reported that costings were currently being obtained and he hoped to report at the next Forum.
