The FISH Dance is more than just a dance; it’s a special event for all incoming KHS freshmen students. This event is used as a fundraiser for the Class of 2017. All the money raised will be put into their class account.

Important Things To Know

Each student must purchase a Class of 2017 T-shirt and fill out a parent/student agreement form. The forms are attached.
The T-shirt serves as their ticket into the dance. Students must wear theirT-shirt to the dance. No student will be allowed into the dance without wearing this T-shirt. NO ALTERATIONS of any kind (i.e. cutting, decoration, etc.) may be made to the T-shirt.
Only incoming KHS Freshmen may attend FISH Dance.
The cost of the FISH Dance is $25. This covers the cost of the T-shirt, car magnet, supplies, decorations, entertainment and refreshments.
Parent volunteer T-shirts are $10-$12 and are mandatory for all volunteers.
We will be pre-selling the T-shirts and collecting signed agreement forms during all lunch periods on March 4th, 5th6th. We will not accept order forms without a signed agreement form. We can accept cash or checks. Please make checks payable to KHS Class of 2017 and write account #S002G7 on memo line.
NO T-SHIRTS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR! Pre-orders are due during lunch on March 4th, 5th or 6th.
For those students that need assistance, please do not let finances keep you from attending the dance. Please see the nurse at your school for assistance. This information is confidential.
T-shirts will be distributed at both middle schools during the lunch periods around the 18th and 19th of April. Announcements will be made to remind students to pick up their shirts.

Student/Parent Agreement Form

We understand that all school regulations are in effect during the KHS 2017 FISH Dance. This would include but is not limited to regulations on dress code, student behavior, respecting others, obeying school rules and cooperation with school administration and parent volunteers the night of the FISH Dance.

We understand that the parent will need to pick up their student immediately from FISH Dance, if requested by school administration or parent volunteer, for unacceptable behavior or any other school regulation violation.

We understand all students must remain inside the dance area. Students are not allowed to leave early unless a parent signs them out. Once a student leaves the dance he/she will not be permitted to return.

We understand that the school and parent volunteers have the right to refuse admittance to anyone that is not an incoming KHS Freshmen for 2013, wearing Class of 2017 T-shirt and/or appears to be under the influence.

We understand and agree that my student shall be held accountable for the behavior and consequences outlined in the HISD Student Code of Conduct that we were required to read and sign-off on at the beginning of the school year, or upon entering the school district.

We need help with set up and decorations the afternoon before the dance (3:15pm to 5pm) and NO T-shirt is required for ONLY this shift.

A volunteer T-shirt IS required in order to volunteer at the dance from 7:00pm to 10pm. The cost is $10 and $12 for 2XL and up. (You may write one check for all T-shirt orders).
