Edward S. Kisscorni, CPA/MBA is the owner and Chief Executive of a web based, paperless, green firm located in the Federal Square Building in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ed has over thirty-five years of experience as an accountant and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1975. During his career, Ed has worked for a large international CPA firm, a small local firm, been a sole practitioner and also worked for a large national firm. He has taught accounting and tax courses at both the undergraduate and graduate school level. Currently, Ed formerly served as Chair of the Department of Accountancy Advisory Council at Western Michigan University and has participated in strategic planning for the Accounting and Tax Department at Grand Valley State University.
Since 1987, Ed has served three state governors in various appointed capacities involving the regulation of the Michigan accounting industry. Most recently he served as Chair of the Michigan State Board of Accountancy and previously served as Vice Chair of the Administrative Committee on Public Accountancy. He has been involved as an accounting firm reviewer in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Peer Review Program. Ed served six years on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). He has frequently testified before legislative bodies on matters of accounting and taxation and presented seminars on various topics in Michigan. Ed is a speaker in high demand on issues affecting the accounting profession and has published numerous articles on accountancy related topics.
