The system has 3 different modes of operation for allocating frames to cameras:
- Motion Activated Automatic Frame Allocation: In this mode the total frame rate of the card is shared by the number of cameras being recorder. For example there may be 32 cameras connected to the system but only 5 of them have movement, in this mode the 5 active cameras will each share the maximum frame rate available.
- Priority Mode: In this mode each camera can be given a low frame rate to record at when there is no movement taking place, and a high frame rate to record at when there is movement. For example, if 32 cameras are connected they can be set to record at 1 fps each, then as a camera picks up movement it will be recorded at a total frame rate of 185 fps, if 2 or more cameras detect movement at the same time then the 185 fps will be shared between them.
- Fixed Recording: This is the most popular setting and allows you to set the number of frames each camera will use during recording.
