The Presenters
Susan McRoberts, MSN, RN, NEA-BC is Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer, Franciscan St. Francis Health. McRoberts has served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Franciscan St. Francis Health (including the Carmel, Indianapolis and Mooresville Campuses) since 1997. During McRoberts’ tenure, she has provided oversight for new campus construction, the implementation of a large scale EMR, the development of a professional practice model for nursing and creation of a vision for nursing to align with an ACO organization.
She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University School of Nursing, where she now serves as adjunct faculty for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Wayne Hutson, FHFMA, CPA has been the Executive Vice President and CFO of Union Hospital in Terre Haute, for the past 39 years! Prior to joining Union Hospital, Mr. Hutson was employed with a “Big 8” accounting firm
specializing in health care audits, feasibility studies, reimbursement issues, and management projects.
Mr. Hutson obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana State University, majoring in Accounting and Finance. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Illinois CPA Society.
Previous faculty experience includes Lakeland Community College, Mattoon, Illinois and Indiana Vocational Technical State College, Terre Haute, Indiana. He taught a variety of Accounting, Tax, and Management courses. A presenter for several years at the Indiana Hospital Association Management Institute at Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis, Hutson loves working with nurses around finance!
