Strategic Plan
Tidwell Social Work Services and Consulting, Inc. offers mental health and other supportive services to vulnerable groups and indigent populations. Our client demographics span a wide array of cultural identities as access to our programs/services is non-discriminatory.Keeping our client’s needs at the heart of the treatment, TSWSC workers strive toward the restoration of dignity & respect, safety & trust, power & control. This often requires the use of innovative but effective and culturally relevant treatment modalities (e.g. massage therapy, yoga, community healing activities etc) not sanctioned by our current revenue source.
Our financials significantly influence our decisions and can undermine the accomplishment of our mission. As such, we need to generate unrestricted funds to help support alternative treatment and support to our consumers.
Looking Forward
Finance:
- We expect to increase funding by 15% through online donations and small fundraising events, in order to expand unrestricted funds, and hope to initiate a capital campaign by year’s end.
- Generate ~ $25,000 (or close to!) from ticket sales, silent auction, raffle and donations at the 2016 Annual Conference and Fundraising Event.
Operations:
- In-house Biller/Bookkeeper
- Transition to Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Programs:
- Introduce more alternative trauma-informed healing practices e.g. yoga, Body Work, HROC groups
- Expand adjunctive services e.g. Peer Support Services, Community Mental Health Advisors (CMHA)
- Implement a Peer Support Service (PSS) Program
- Partner with SARMC Center for Global Health and Healing in providing supportive mental health services for their Survivors of Torture Program (PSOT).
Notable Upcoming Events:Save the date for our 3rd Annual Conference and Fundraising event on Saturday October 15th 2016!! More details to follow.

Wish List…
As we continue to grow and deliberately expand our services to benefit indigent community members who are marginalized by current limitations in our State's welfare resources, it has become increasingly necessary to improve the accessibility of our services.
In line with our mission to provide culturally relevant services that promote individual and community healing, TSWSC now offers/is in the process of developing various services that are not Medicaid reimbursed e.g. massage therapy, yoga, some group healing (HROC) etc. However, most of the individuals that stand to benefit from these services lack the means to easily commute to their appointments without Medicaid non-emergency transportation services.
In an effort to overcome this potential snag on obtaining positive outcomes, TSWSC is in need of a safe and functioning vehicle. Kindly consider donating if you have one!!
