2.  Update on C O P S --- Set up Sub Group Belcamp Open Space

Order: Noted

3.  Report on Speeding

Order: Garda Jacinta Harley gave a comprehensive verbal report on GoSafe speed camera vans.Safety cameras are on the roads all across Ireland where fatal collisions have occured as a result of inappropriate speed. These locations are available on a map on the Garda web site. GoSafe provides 6000 enforcement hours .The cameras operate from vans which are marked with high visibility reflective material and display a safety camera symbol.

4.  Update from DCC and Gardaí in the North Central Area

Order: Committee queried the possibility of having a representative from the HSE on the Joint Policing Sub Committee .

5.  White Paper----The Community and Criminal Justice System

Order: Committee requested that a white paper entitled “ The Community and Criminal Justice System “ Discussion Document no 4. be resent. This document provides for consultation with the wider community and invites feedback on relevant matters to help shape strategy and policy.

6.  Issues relating to the control, regulation and sale of alcohol in pubs/off licences---

Order: Noted

7.  Issues relating to court objections to renewal of licences or late night extension licences due to public disorder or nuisance associated with premises ( pubs and off-licences)---

8.  Reply Traffic Department on request access N32/Newtown Court

Order: Committee requested a map indicating where the proposed access might be located.
