Re: CLASS DAY
Parents:
Each year at ReaganHigh School, we celebrate the successes of our Senior Class on Class Day. This year, Class Day is scheduled on May 24th@ 9:00am in the Reagan Gymnasium. We certainly welcome you to attend our Class Day Program. We have asked each Senior to invite no more than two guests (parents/guardians.) The program will last approximately two hours.
Your sons/daughters will be picking up caps and gowns and graduation tickets after the program if they are eligible to receive them. This means they must be clearly passing (not close to failing) all classes needed for graduation. They must also not owe any debts to the school (Mrs. Snyder has sent reminders throughout the year.)
Immediately following this, they will gather in the stadium for a picnic and yearbook signing. They will be dismissed from school at 3:40 from the stadium area.
Seniors:
In preparation for Class Day, there are several things to keep in mind:
This is a formal and dignified program, and we expect you to dress accordingly.
This means, for the guys: dress pants or nice khakis with belts (no sagging pants), dress shirt, tie,
and dress shoes. A suit jacket is optional but not mandatory. No jeans and no flip-flops.
For the ladies: an appropriate dress or dressy pants outfit with dress shoes. Thismeans “dress
code,” nothing revealing, tight, short, or without the appropriate straps. No flip-flops or jeans.
Anyone dressed inappropriatelywill not be allowedto participate in the Class Day program.
You will need to report to the Auxiliary Gym no later than 8:45 to line up for the Processional.
You will need to be sure you are “cleared” to receive your caps and gowns and graduation tickets on
Class Day. The means your grades should be clearly passing and you should owe no debts to the
School. This is your responsibility to verify before Class Day.
After the program is over, and you have picked up caps and gowns, all seniors will be meeting at the
rock for the “Senior Signing.” You will then move to the football stadium for a picnic and yearbook
signing. Dismissal will occur at the end of the school day (3:40pm.)
If you have been notified that you are the recipient of a scholarship or other award for which you want
to be recognized, you will need to get that information turned in to Student Services ASAP!!
Please leave this information in Student Services for Randy Norris. (This must be in writing on
the letterhead of the organization giving you the award.)
If you are a member of NHS, please be sure your dues and service hours are current so you will be
eligible to receive your cord. See Mrs. Barbee if you have questions about this.
CLASS DAY PRACTICE:
Class Day Practice will be held on May 23rd in the gymnasium. All Seniors (including CareerCenter students) will report to the gymnasium at 1:35. Attendance will be taken. We will practice processing and recessing and we will distribute very important graduation information. It will be imperative that you are present on the 23rdas this will be the only opportunity for you to have any questions answered about graduation. CareerCenter Seniors will be excused from CareerCenter. The practice will end at 3:40pm, and Seniors will be dismissed from the gymnasium.
