**If it helps you, please enter all of the dates into your personal calendar or agenda now.

If you miss a due date, you will receive a “0” for that assignment. Part of being an adult is being mindful of deadlines!!

**Students must hand in every assignment leading up to the rough and final drafts. All papers are due on the specified due date. If a student is absent the day the paper is due, he or she must make arrangements to have the paper placed in the teacher’s mailbox by 2:30 pm of the due date.

NOTE: Rough drafts will be checked for format more than content (please see rubric in packet). Therefore, it is possible to receive two entirely different grades on the draft and the final.

Rough Draft Grade Equivalent: Quiz Grade!!

Final Draft Grade Equivalent: Test Grade!!

Plagiarism: Any paper suspected of plagiarism will result in a grade of zero.

11 Honors Boundaries of Science Research Essay Contract

It is up to the individual student to either print out or refer to the Research Guideline booklet available online. It is highly recommended that students print out the research guidelines and each student is expected to read it in total. Find the Research Guidelines packet on the Jefferson Township Language Arts website at the following URL: http://blogs.jefftwp.org/wordpress/rknutelsky/files/2011/05/Research-Guidelines-2011-Final.pdf

I have read and understand the requirements of and due dates for the essay. I understand that I will have limited time in class and will make arrangements for additional time to complete the assignment on my own. I also understand that suspected plagiarism, in compliance with the JTHS Guidelines will result in a grade of a zero.
