City of Phoenix Electric Light Parade
Float Judging-Friday, Dec. 4th(come rain or shine-bring an umbrella)
All corps members are invited to the Phoenix Baptist Church located on Central and Bethany Home Rd. on Friday night for judging from 6:30-8:30. Please enter the Baptist Church on the North side of the church which is Bethany Home Rd. You should wear corps sweats if you plan on coming to support the corps. For many years we have been asked to twirl for the TV cameras, so bring yourlight batons if you have any.We will provide lite sticks for your baton **We will providea lightdinner for the volunteers and float riders. Holiday cookies & snacks are welcome.
The following twirlers should report by 5:00 on Friday, December 4thto getready for judging/we need this time to put make up on and attach lights and battery pack belts & put costumes on.
Sitting on Float (1)cowgirl ( Miss Twirling Athlete-Hannah Morgan) white jean jacket, crown, banner, jeans, rodeo scarf and boots
Standing on top of float (2) cowgirls(Madysin Hewitt & Madelynn Cleis) black turtlenecks, sequin costume,tights, vest, black or white cowgirl boots, blk gloves.
Sitting on sides of float (2) cowgirls (Lexi LeDune & Brooklynn Carrier) wear white tights, white tennis shoes, black turtleneck, blk gloves to judging.
Standing on right side of float (1)cowgirl ( Reagan Berry) black turtleneck, sequin costume, tan tights, black boots, hair in two low pigtails, black gloves
Sitting on Horses(4)cowgirls (Heidi Ruffell, Kaydince Farmer, Analysia Amarillas, Aryanna Canez)black turtlenecks, white tights and white tennis shoes, hair in two low pigtails, black gloves
Sitting on horse in front (1) cowboy (Jack Rattray)
Black turtleneck, black pants, black gloves
***All float riders need to come wearing black turtlenecks, tights and twirling shoes or boots/ hair down in two low pig tailsmake up (light costumes consisting of vests, hats, skirts & rodeo scarves) will be given out at the judging on Friday, Dec. 4that 5:00.
****You must be able to come on Friday, Dec. 4th in order to be in the parade on Sat. Dec. 5th.
****(all beginnerfloat riders must bring $10.00 to help defray light, battery& costume expensesand be present on Fri. for judgingfrom 5:00-8:30
Electric Light Parade- Saturday, Dec.5th(comerain or shine-bring umbrella)
All Superstars, Starbrites and Starlites must bring $20.00 each to class to help defray the expense of glow products/ lights. This only pays for half of the products. TheCity of Phoenix requires that each person have 20 glow products or 100 lights on their costume to be in the parade. Lights will not be given to anyone who has not paid prior to the parade.
Line up at 4:30 at the North Phoenix Baptist Church on Central & Bethany Home Road. Use the Bethany Home entrance, just north of the church to drop your child off and then proceed to end of the parade and park in the Veterans Hospital parking lot located off Indian School Rd.& 3rd St.No parents may walk in the parade unless designated. The actual parade will begin at 7:00. Pick up after our unit goes by on 7St. just south of Indian School. Look for our white, silver, magenta, and green float with white Christmas Tree on top. We are # ___ & #___in the parade and will begin moving at 5:30) Parents who have girls on the float or have worked on the float are asked to give a helping hand at the end of the parade. The float must be taken apart and driven back to storage. Girls will be treated with a drink & snack at conclusion of parade.
All float riders (11) will dress like they did for judging on Friday. (dress warm)
Banner Carriers (8) New Beg. Twirlers: Alex Anaya, Mason Cooley,Bridget Ruiz, NicoletteAltamirano, Desiree Uribe, Paige Williams, Madelyn Lanan, Adrianna Monen
Superstars & Starbrites(10) will wear silver/magenta dance twirl costumewithout top blouse,black turtlenecks, corps tights, tan In Steps, hair in2 low pig tails. (Bring lite batons) Glow sticks will be handed out at the parade. Wear warm ups with name.
Starlites (3)-All Starlite twirlers who have a silver & magenta costume (Emma, Hunter & Jenna)Wear hair in two low pigtails, beige tights and tan In steps, warm up suit, black turtleneck, Hoop Baton with nothing on it.
Feature Twirlers (2) (Alexis, Rachel) wear blk. & magenta dance twirl costumes with blk. skirt/ tights, beige shoes, hair up. (bring lite batons 3each)
Men & Women Needed. We will also need men to help at the end of the parade on Sat. to take it apart and take back to storage. We are counting on all of you to make this happen. Call Lauren at 480-220-1576 or Miss Becky if you can help at 602-743-2681.
Parent parade walkers (dress in black-no purses)**These parents will help put on glow products before parade at 4:30 and also be in charge of disbanding their group at end of parade. Please take all glow products home with you and bring the pink elastic back the following week.You may keep the cowgirl hats.
****Twirlers-Please keep all glow products & battery packs and turn in at class the following week with your name attached, so we will be ready for the Fiesta Bowl Parade on January 2. Leave batteries in packs. Do not wash float costumes.
