NJROTC PATH TO PROMOTION
CADET PROMOTIONS AND POSITION ASSIGNMENTS ARE BASED ONINDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE, DEMONSTRATED POTENTIAL AND OVERALLPERFORMANCE. MANY FACTORS AREEVALUATED BY THE INSTRUCTORS BEFORE PROMOTIONS. ALL PROMOTING CADETS MUST HOLD A 2.0 GPA AND COMMUNITY SERVICE IS ALSO A CRITICAL PART OF PROMOTIONS. CADETS PERFORMING ABOVE AND BEYONDTHE CALL OF DUTY MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR MERITORIOUS PROMOTION.SNSI INSTRUCTOR WILL BE CONDUCTING PROMOTIONS ON THE FIRST BUSINESS DAY OF THE MONTH.
When the cadet is ready to get promoted, the proper actions below must be taken accordingly. CO/XO/AOare the only ones authorized toadministerthe test.
E-2/3: Give written test and only a 100% is acceptable; then you will submit letter below for consideration.
E-4/5: Give written or oral test as a board (two of you must be present) and utilize the study guide in CFM .Prior to board make sure you get together with other board membersand figure out what questions(20 question minimum) you will ask.
E-6:Give written or oral test, all cadet packet questions must be asked and must have 100%.
E-7Submit letter below to instructors. Instructors will board cadets to ensure the integrity of this program is intact.
