Disney Trip Fundraiser

Dear HMS Chorus families,

In lieu of doing numerous wrapping paper and cookie dough fundraisers, which can take over 50% of profits from the students, the Hope Middle School Chorus is sponsoring a HMS Chorus Friends and Family Donation Drive. All donations are tax-deductible and 93%-100% of donations will go directly towards your child’s personal fundraising goal of $750. There are two ways your child can work to fundraise their needed money for their upcoming Disney chorus trip during our campaign.

1.  “Be my EdBacker” (93% of all donations go towards your child’s goal): Students have been set up with a personal EdBacker online account for friends and family to make online donations. Their link can be shared via email and social media. To access your child’s personal account link, please visit: www.edbacker.com

●  Search for your child’s name in the search box

●  Copy your child’s link and share via email and social media. The more it is shared, the more opportunity your child has to raise their needed funds.

*The fee to use America’s Charities is 2% +

Edbacker Fee is 5% + 30c which includes credit card processing. Cheapest on the market!

2.  “Checks in the Mail” (100% of all donations go towards your child’s goal) : Students are encouraged to make copies of the attached letter and send it via US mail to their family and friends. An electronic/editable version of this letter can also be found on the HMS Chorus website at: www.teacherpage.com/hopechorus/ Feel free to edit the original to add a personal touch. It is highly suggested that your child includes a self-addressed stamped envelope with each letter to make sending a donation back quick and easy for your child’s sponsors.

****Due to the large number of students in the chorus program, parents are asked to consolidate all mailed donations as much as possible and write ONE personal check to HMS Chorus at the end of the donation drive in August. Teachers are required to receipted all money and I am NOT able to receipt individual friends and family donations from each student due to time constraints.

Hope Middle School Chorus Friends and Family Donation Drive

Dear family and friends,

I am so excited to share that I have the opportunity to travel to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida next school year with the Hope Middle School Chorus. We will take part in a nationwide festival of performing arts groups and will have the opportunity to perform and compete on a national stage! A pretty cool experience for any middle schooler!

The festival will take place on April 26-28, 2018. As you can imagine, the trip will be costly ($750). It is my hope that I can help ease the financial burden this will put on my family by raising funds. In lieu of doing numerous wrapping paper and cookie dough fundraisers, which can take over 50% of profits from students, the Hope Middle School Chorus is sponsoring a HMS Chorus Friends and Family Donation Drive. All donations are tax-deductible and 93% - 100% of your donation will go directly towards my personal fundraising goal of $750. Donations are due by: August 28, 2017.

There are two ways you can donate.

Donations are collected by America’s Charities (quick, easy, safe and secure online payments).

*TIP: Your email confirmation from your donation is your receipt for tax deduction purposes.

2.  “Checks in the Mail” (100% of your donation goes toward my goal): You can send a personal check in the mail. Please use the enclosed self-addressed stamped envelope. Make all checks payable to my parent(s). They will then in return, write one check to the Hope Middle School Chorus program for all my donations.

*TIP: Your canceled check serves as your receipt for tax deduction purposes.
