Learn to Create QR Codes

  1. Create QR Code.
  2. First let’s clean out our download file. Go to the Windows icon/click on downloads/Select All with Control A/delete.
  3. Go to the Willow Oaks webpage/Resources/Computer Lab.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page for all grades.
  5. Click on #2 QR Code Generator
  6. Select “website URL” from the list on the left
  7. Copy and paste the following website into the white box:
  1. Download QR Code: Choose “Save” and press OK.
  1. Load your QR Code. On your phone you could use a QR scanner, but since we are using a computer, we will use the downloaded QR Code.
  2. Go to the Willow Oaks webpage/Resources/Computer Lab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page for all grades. Click on #3 QR Code Scanner
  4. Insert the QR Code image file from the downloads folder
  5. Click on the link to be taken there, or read the message

You just created and read your first QR Code!!!

  1. Create another QR Code with a message. Go to the Willow Oaks webpage/Resources/Computer Lab. Then scroll to the bottom of the page for all grades. Click on #2 QR Code Generator (

  6. Type the word, “I am so cool”
  7. Download QR Code: Choose “save” and press OK.
  8. Load your QR Code.
  9. Go to the Willow Oaks webpage/Resources/Computer Lab.
  10. Scroll to the bottom of the page for all grades. Click on #3 QR Code Scanner
  11. Insert the QR Code image file from your downloads folder
  12. Click on the link to be taken there, or read the message
