A highly successful start to the new Becker academy
Very close to its headquarters, Becker, the drive and control unit specialist for roller shutters, sun protection systems, doors and central home automation, has invested in an extensive expansion and modernisation project for the BECKER academy; its in-house training centre. The project was concluded successfully in November 2015.
Besides offices for academy and service staff, the new training centre offers a large classroom equipped with the latest multi-media facilities for focusing on theoretical issues. A technical classroom has been set up next door and gives course participants the opportunity to put theory into practice straight away. "Our goal is to ensure the independence and success of our partners. Be it fitters, electricians or door manufacturers: They should all be able to work with Becker solutions safely and effectively, without the need for additional help. At Becker we see partnership as a way of sharing knowledge and learning from each other," says Norbert Huttel, director of the Becker academy. "The first seminars took place in November. We had very positive feedback from all the participants," adds Norbert Huttel. "This proves the decision in favour of the new facilities was the right one."
The seminars provide participants with a theoretical and practical overview of the opportunities of home automation and individual Becker solutions – from simple drive and control technology, and bi-directional, central home automation using CentralControl, to complex home automation via KNX and SMI. The courses also offer an in-depth explanation of industrial door automation in order to facilitate the work of our specialist partners. A new feature of the training programme is the special courses for electricians. The Becker academy additionally offers certification for electricians who want to learn about specific tasks as well as refresher courses for existing certificates. Particularly attractive: Becker also provides seminars as part of a favourably-priced modular system. This means you can go from novice to expert for home automation within a few days.
