Expectations
- Applicant must have the desire to be involved with tennis beyond the summer program.
- Applicant must participate in a “point challenge” that rewards them for pursuing tennis activities year-round. These activities include:
- Participation in sanctioned and non-sanctioned tournaments;
2.Setting-up practice matches with peers;
3.Instructional lessons;
4.Participating in tennis camps; and
5.Developing a fitness regimen to benefit your tennis game.

Minimum Skill Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following skill requirements:
- 10 and under players will be on a 60ft. court with the orange ball.
- Able to hit medium-paced shots fairly consistently (sustain a rally);
- Able to keep score accurately (including familiarity with a 7-point tiebreak);
- Familiar with the court and basic rules (how do you win a point? how do you start a match? what happens
when the ball hits the net and goes over? etc.);
Comfortable hitting ground strokes and volleys;
- Able to serve consistently (60%-70% serves in); and
- Satisfactory court coverage.
