Submission & Guideline Qualifications
Artists 55+
Must be a Westchester Resident
Artwork created:
In class setting, or at community Elder Centers, or
Created Independently, or through an Intergenerational project
•One submission by person - 2 Dimensional work only
Artwork must be original and be created no earlier than 2002
Maximum size of pieces - 24” X 36” horizontal or vertical including mat and frame
“Gallery Ready”: Artwork must be Framed, Matted, and Wired on the Back
oFor professional presentation, all unframed canvases must have white or black tape around unfinished edges to hide staples.
Artwork must have WCCA “Art With Intent” completed Application Form typed & adhered to the back.
Artist Statement: “WHY IS THIS ARTWORK IMPORTANT TO YOU?”
oStatements MUST BE TYPED. Please include your Name, Title of Work, Medium & Size - handwritten statements will not be accepted
oOne paragraph statement - no more than 6 sentences
oARTIST STATEMENT DEADLINE : Must be received no later than Thursday, April 5, 2007

Bring artwork to THE FRONT DESK at Andrus-on-Hudson at 185 Old Broadway, Hasting-on-Hudson, NY 10710. For directions call: 478-3700.
ARTWORK DROP-OFF DATES DEADLINE: Friday, April 27th & Monday, April 30th bet. 1:00 - 5:00 PM at Andrus. Late submissions will not be accepted. Artists are responsible for drop off and pick up of art work.
1.Applicants are selected for “Art With Intent” by a juried committee comprised of artists, and arts leaders viewing the submitted artworks and will be judged based on:
• Artist’s compliance with the entry guidelines
• Works of art should be original, aesthetic, and compelling
2.Artists will be informed by Phone or Email regarding acceptance of their work on the night of Tuesday, May 1st, 2007. You must include your Phone and a valid Email address with your submission so you can be contacted of the results by a member of the jury.
● You will be called by 9:00 PM on Tuesday night if your work has been accepted.
● If you are NOT called by 9:00 PM, please pick up your work the next day, Wed., May 2nd, between 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM at THE FRONT DESK.
3.End of show artwork pick-up: THURSDAY, JUNE 14TH between 12:30-4:30 PM. Please do your best to pick up your work during these hours. If you cannot pick up work during these hours please contact Karen Sevell Greenbaum or Ted Berkowitz to arrange another time.
