Event Medical will be in attendance at the Alstonefield Village Hall to provide First Aid and Medical Assistance.
CANCELLATION: In this unlikely event, it is your responsibility to check our website before setting off for the venue, as we would be unable to contact all participants at short notice.
- Thank you for your interest and entry fee, we look forward to seeing you on 20th May 2018.
- If you arrive by car to Alstonefield, please follow the Leaden Boot parking signs to the event car park(Alstonefield Playing Field - see attached map)Car Park open from 7am.
- Please report to Registration and provideyour name and event number. You will be issued with your control cardfor use during the event.
- Detailed route instructions are available at leadenboot.org.uk. Please print the route instructions (v12) from our website and bring them with you. We will provide some way-marks (bright yellow arrows and ribbons) to assist navigation, but please do not rely on them solely. Use the route instructions and preferably an OS Explorer Map OL24 ‘The White Peak’ with compass bearings as appropriate.
- If you retire, please try to do so at a manned checkpoint and let the marshals know that you have retired. A liftwill be arranged to Alstonefield as soon as possible. If you cannot make it to a checkpointit is crucial that you telephone the control centre using the emergency number provided on the back of your control card 01335 310516 (backup number07970 119713). In this way we can monitor your position and arrange medical help and transport to Alstonefield, or emergency services.
- The route crosses several roads; please take great care when negotiating roadsections.
- Dogs are your responsibility and must be kept in control andon a lead at all times (emergencies excepted).
- Please take photographs; the best ones will be published on our website and Facebook.
- Event results will be published on our website within a week of the event.

Toilets are located at Alstonefield Village Hall, Milldale, Ilam Hall, Grindon Village Hall, Wetton Mill (you might need to purchase something here), and Hartington.
Note: there are no secure provisions for bagstorage in the village hall. Please leave them in your car.
