LAS VEGAS – Celebrating a two-year renaissance, Las Vegas' world-class destination gaming resort Caesars Palace has launched an interactive media player to provide consumers and news media with the latest information, video and photography. As one of the most iconic resorts on the Strip, Caesars Palace continues to raise the bar in terms of new amenities and offerings within the resort. The 85-acre resort recently announced the addition of two new hotel towers including the sixth hotel tower, Octavius Tower, and plans to unveil the world’s first Nobu Hotel, Restaurant and Lounge within the existing Centurion Tower. Additionally the resort continues to elevate traditional dining experiences with the introduction of celebrated restaurants Central Michel Richard and Old Homestead Steakhouse. Further fueling the renaissance, The Colosseum’s striking lineup of world-class resident entertainers maintains Caesars Palace’s position at the top of its class.
“Caesars Palace is forever tied to many profound, historic events yet continues to raise the bar, pushing the industry to higher standards with its continuous innovation and progressive objectives,” said Ramesh Sadhwani, vice president of hotel operations for Caesars Palace. “The current renaissance led by Caesars Palace positions the resort as a frontrunner on the Las Vegas Strip, maintaining its image as a leading, world-class destination resort.”
Celine Dion’s historic return to The Colosseum in March 2011 prompted momentum for the resort, paving the way for world-class superstar lineups to follow suit. Referred to as Las Vegas’ “biggest act since Elvis,” by Newsweek, Celine’s three-year residency made international headlines and USA Today stated, “Dion isn't here to perform. She's here to kill it.”
Home to some of the world’s greatest entertainers, The Colosseum has received rave reviews with the debut of legendary rock icon Rod Stewart as he kicked off his two-year Las Vegas residency “Rod Stewart: The Hits.” Rolling Stone called Elton John’s homecoming in September 2011 with “The Million Dollar Piano” a “hit making machine that pays off more reliably than the slots,” while Robin Leach applauded his “brilliant showmanship,” referring to his talent as “one epic masterpiece of musical entertainment.” Adding to the powerhouse of performers, Caesars announced a two-year residency with the world’s best-selling female country artist of all time, Shania Twain, premiering in December 2012.
In addition, Caesars Palace has experienced high hotel occupancy rates over the past several months yielding ideal conditions to open the new Octavius Tower, which will add an additional 668 rooms to the resort’s total room inventory. The 23-story hotel tower will offer a unique non-gaming, boutique hotel experience with a private entrance, separate hotel lobby and direct access to the Garden of the Gods pool oasis and gardens.
Leading the boutique hotel trend and praised by USA Today for “ambitious” efforts in positioning the iconic Nobu brand as a prestigious hotel chain, Caesars Palace will open Nobu Hotel next fall, 2012. The 180-room boutique hotel will transform the current Centurion Tower and will feature a separate hotel check-in and room service menu catered by the 11,000-square-foot Nobu Restaurant and Lounge, which will open along with the tower. Designer David Rockwell incorporates Nobu’s signature Japanese elegance into the Nobu Hotel, which will offer 16 suites and a luxurious penthouse for guests who crave a high end experience in Las Vegas.
Earlier this year, Caesars Palace opened Central Michel Richard, elevating the hotel’s 24-hour dining experience with a celebrated restaurant by James Beard Award-winning chef Michel Richard. Featuring American comfort food classics with a French twist, Central was applauded by food critic John Curtas for its “tasteful simplicity,” “rais[ing] the bar for dining and drinking for all three meals,” and a menu of decadent desserts that “will bring tears to your eyes.” Caesars Palace will continue to elevate traditional dining experiences with the addition of one of New York’s most legendary restaurants, Old Homestead Steakhouse, set to open later this winter. The legacy steakhouse, celebrating 140 years in New York City, is known for its quality cuts of meat, acclaimed menu selections and highly anticipated wine and cocktail program.
Building upon Caesars Palace’s unparalleled success, the luxurious Qua Baths & Spa and Michelin Star Restaurant Guy Savoy, both located in the Augustus Tower, have recently been awarded top honors. The 55,000-square-foot Qua Baths & Spa was named it the Top 100 Resort Spas in the U.S. by Conde Nast Traveler, while SpaFinder recently awarded the spa five prestigious readers’ choice accolades including Best Casino Hotel Spa, Best for Luxury and Favorite Spa Treatment for 2011. Restaurant Guy Savoy was recognized as one of the Top 10 Most Essential Restaurants in Las Vegas in 2010 by Eating Las Vegas and will again be named in the 2011 edition.
