Decision/action requested: TC ERM#41authorisation requested to use the attached power point presentation to inform on relevant work being done in ERM TG28at Smart Grids workshop.
TG28 became aware on short notice about an ETSI workshop on Smart Grids Scoping that will be held at ETSI HQs on 14th June 2010; see at:
http://www.etsi.org/WebSite/NewsandEvents/SMART_GRIDSWS.aspx
Since an evident possible relationship with Smart Metering activities, to which TG28 is actively involved, some slides for that event were kindly arranged by Mr. Larry Taylor (TG28 Rapporteur on some deliverables related to) and checked by Philippe Magneron (TG28 vice-chair).
TG28 members' views were sought on these slides via an urgent email reflector consultation by a dead line set for Monday, 07 June 2010, 14:00 CEST.
This was arranged in view to submit those slides the day after at TC ERM#41 requesting its authorisation for presentation at Smart Grids workshop.
The main purpose of the presentation is just to inform the ETSI Smart Grid community that relevant work is being done in ERM TG28, not to push one technology over another; many may be used, which includes RF MESH that is being developed in current TG28 work:
