PRINCIPAL’S CORNER
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We are now going into that time of the year when our children are getting excited about Christmas. It is such a wonderful time of the year for families to get together and share the greatest gift of all; LOVE.
As Principal of Gauley Bridge Elementary, I am praying that each of you and your families have a warm and wonderful Christmas. I hope that God grants you your wishes and your desires. I also pray that it is a Christmas that finds all of you healthy enough to enjoy the times and events. Please, let us not forget those that are less fortunate than we are. If you know someone, please give them a helping hand so that they too will have fond memories of Christmas and the wonderful spirit that Christmas brings.
In closing, I want to say to all my moms, give dad’s wallet a break this Christmas and dad’s give mom a break and let her shop till she drops. I am just kidding! Have fun everyone and don’t let trying to buy toys and shopping for everyone stress you out. Remember the reason for the season. If nothing else, remember that we at Gauley Bridge Elementary appreciates all of you and we wish all of you a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

CHRISTMAS PARTY
Parents, we want this to be a special time for each of our children. We have planned events and treats for our children to have a nice Christmas Party here at the school. We are asking and pleading with you. DO NOT BRING ANY FOOD ITEMS TO THE SCHOOL! It is a violation of the County and State Nutritional Act to bring certain non-nutritional foods into a school. A violation could cause the school to be fined and/or lose federal funds. We also have children who are allergic to certain foods. There have also been cases to where people have poisoned children. So, please don’t bring or send any food items to the school for the Christmas Party or any party. Thanks you so much for your cooperation in this matter.
