Request for "Multiple-Event" Hosting Application

Baseball BC is pleased to provide community associations the opportunity to apply to host multiple 2018 Provincial Championships in a single site location.
In order to apply to host at this time, an association must be willing to host a minimum of two Championships on the same weekend, in the same location. Associations would need to have two fields available at the site, for each division. The dates of the Championships have not yet been announced but will likely be held in late July or early August.
The 18U AAA division will be split into two tiers in 2018 with the winner of Tier 1 advancing to Nationals and the winner of Tier 2 advancing to Westerns. This provincial is likely to be held in early July. Therefore, applications to host the 18U AAA Championships cannot be part of a multiple-event hosting application. In order to host the 18U AAA Championship, an association must have two fields in a single site location, with a third field available, if needed based on the number of entries.
The deadline to apply to host multiple championships or the 18U AAA Championship is November 15th. Any Championships not awarded will be posted for associations interested in hosting a single Championship, with preference given to applicants with two fields in a single location.
Associations interested in applying to host must complete the attached application form and submit it to Baseball BC’s Championship Coordinator, Kyle Williams () by November 15, 2017.

The responsibilities of the host association include but may not be limited to:
- Providing two fields for the Championship, in a single location.
- Providing a Host Tournament Director, and volunteers for grounds crew, scorekeeping, and pitch count.
- Maintain pitch count records in a public location.
- Have an on-site concession
While not required, the host may provide
- Dugout water
- Host a team event with food or skills competition (derby, etc.)

Baseball BC will provide an on-site Technical Director, baseballs, and will pay the umpires.
