Teacher Registration for Everyday Math Online Account

You are going to follow the directions given by Everyday Math on the other attachment for how to set up your account, but these are my “additions” to help guide you through the parts they don’t tell you about! J Please note that when you are registering with Everyday Math they will ask you to give your email address. It is important that you all use your NEW SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESSES THAT WILL BE IN THE FORM:

Once you go through their directions, you will be told that you need to set up your ePlanner before you can go any further. Although we really aren’t going to utilize the ePlanner at this point (until we have some guidance from the consultants) we need to pretend like we are setting one up so the site will allow you to proceed to look at the resources. So here is what you need to do:

1. Click “Go” to set up your ePlanner now

2. You will see a section marked “My Lesson Plans” with a pull down menu below it. You will make sure it is showing “Create a New Lesson Plan”

3. Select your grade level (resource, BD, administrators, ELL, etc., who want to access more than one grade level will need to do this process multiple times and set up a new “Lesson Plan” for EACH grade level materials you want access to).

4. You need to Name your Lesson Plan – This is just for you, so I would suggest something like: Ms. King’s First Grade Plans – Ottumwa (those of you who are going to be doing multiple grade levels, make sure you indicate the grade level somewhere in the name).

5. It is going to ask you to pick a starting date. Choose 8/22/12

6. Once you have done all of this you will click on “Create Planner”

7. There will then be a blue message box that appears that says something like, “Would you like to proceed to your home page to ….” Click “ok” to indicate that you want to proceed without designating specific days on your planner. We will be able to go back and do this at a later time.

8. If you are a classroom teacher and only need materials for one grade level, you are DONE! You can now click on “Home” at the top of the page and it will take you back to the home page where you can access all of the online features of eSuite Deluxe.

8a. If you are a teacher/administrator who wants to have access to multiple grade levels, then you are going to need to start this process over again and do it for EACH grade level you want. So when you go back up, under “My Lesson Plans” it should have a drop down menu that includes the lesson plans you just named and created above, but it should also have the option in the pull down menu of “Create a new lesson plan” which you will now choose and do everything listed above for that new grade level. I went through and did this for 7 times so that I can now have access to all grade level materials, K-6, from my computer.

In the future, when you login, it will take you to this home page. I think the section that will be especially important to you in your planning, will be the “Interactive Teacher’s Lesson Guide” that you see as a choice in the top right portion of your screen. Don’t worry about doing anything more with your ePlanner at this point until we get further guidance from the Everyday Math consultants.
