ROUSH CleanTech has an immediate need for aRegional Field Service Engineer for the westernregion,with a solid mechanical background and strong customer service skills. The RegionalField Service Engineer would interface with our network of service centers and customers on a regular basis, on the phone, via e-mail and in person. Our ideal applicant will have a strong ability to listen to customers with an emphasis on relating to concerns and providing appropriate and well-timed responses. They will be responsible for meeting with, developing relationships with, and training new and existing service centers in their region of responsibility.
A qualified RegionalField Service Engineer will also be: well organized, task-oriented, able to demonstrate strong follow-through, be willing to travel, and possesses a strong technical automotive understanding. This remotely-based position is within the West Region,and will likely cover the following states and provinces:CA, OR, WA, UT, NV, AZ, CO, MT, WY, NM, AK, HI, ID,BC, and AB.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5+years of automotive technician/mechanic experience-OR-Associate’sDegree in Automotive Engineering/Automotive Technology (or related) with 1+ year of automotive technician/mechanic experience
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing late-model engine related drivability concerns
- Regional Field Service Engineer must be proficient with OBD scan tools
- Must be willing and ableto travel up to 75% when needed
- Regional Field Service Engineer must be able to prepare written technical reports
- Demonstrate professionalism and interact with all levels of employees and with customers
- Able to demonstrate proficient computer skills and use of MS Office programs
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Regional Field Service Engineer must have own tools
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in classroom instruction, presentation skills and hands-on training delivery
- Experience as an electrical mechanic or a dealership mechanic
- Experience with liquid propane gas (LPG) and/or compressed/liquid natural gas (CNG/LNG)
- Experience with Ford IDS
- Possess a current U.S.passport or ability to obtain passport once hired
