MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of An-NurSunday School is to provide children with basic Islamic knowledge and etiquette, enhance the Islamic awareness in light of Quran & Sunnah enlighten and foster identity as practicing Muslims.
Our Objective:
Make the younger generation aware of the religious,social and cultural values of the community
Help young Muslims develop an Islamic Personality and identity
Provide children basic Islamic knowledge – the 5 Pillars of Islam
Make children eager to learn the words of Allah and gain His paradise and attain His pleasure
Code of Conduct for Kids
- I will be responsible for my own actions
- I will be respectful of myself, my teachers and peers.
- I will come prepared to class with all required books and stationary.
- I will be punctual to school and to every class.
- I will do my best to uphold Islamic values (i.e. honesty, respect, humility)
- Will not use cell phone during class
- I will participate in Zuhr prayers.
Dress Code:
It is mandatory for all students to follow the dress code. If not followed on continued basis, students will be suspended.
Boys:
- Pants should be long enough to at least cover the knees.
- No tight or fitted pants or shirts
- Shirts should fall below hips.
Girls:
- A scarf must be worn at all times that covers the entire head and hair.
- No tight or fitted pants or shirts.
- Shirts should fall below the hips.
- Full sleeve shirts.
- Full length pants or jeans or skirts.
Consequence: Failing to comply with the above Code of Conduct and Dress Code, will result in suspension. Maximum of 3 warning will be given.

Teacher Responsibilities:
- I will be on Time, attend Morning Assembly, be Prepared, be Organized
- I will escort my class for Salat-ul- Zuhur, help students put books\book bags, shoes, jacket\coat in right place and sit among the students during the program and theZuhursalah
- I will help in the dismissal of the students after the Zuhursalah
- I will ensure that at the end of the day my class is in acceptable condition.
- Will not use cell phone during the class
- I will sign in and out of the office
Lesson plans must be submitted each month in advance to the principal\administrator.
Reporting time for home room teachers is 9:45 am. All teachers have to personally sign in and out of the office. Any teacher reporting after 9:45 am will be deducted $10 per week in pay.
If copies are to be made, come early (before 9:45 am) or give office assistant to do it ahead of time.
Wudu should be completed by children under the supervision of the teacher at least 10 minutes prior to Zuhr prayers.

- Full length pants or jeans or skirts.
- All clothing must be free of human or animal imprints!!!
Consequence: Failing to comply with the above Rules will result in disciplinary action. Maximum of 3 warning will be given.
