Zone 6 Wrestling Team Trials – December 12, 2015

Weigh Ins: At the venue at 8 am

Skin Check: Coaches, please be sure your athletes are free of skin ailments such as ring worm, etc. Any athletes found to have a skin infection such as ring worm will not be permitted to wrestle.

Eligibility: *Male and Female athletes born in 2001, 2002 and 2003

*All athletes of the correct age and weight may participate *Athletes who have won a national championship are ineligible. *Athletes may compete in their zone of residence or a zone where they are a club member, however, they must declare zone of choice prior to competition.

Trial Competition Date: Saturday December 12, 2015

Time: 10:00 am – Completion Location: Dan Knott Junior High, 1434 80 Street NW, Edmonton, AB

Tournament Format: Groups of five or least athletes will be grouped into a round-robin pool. Groups of six or greater will be put into a double elimination draw. Once the semi-finalists & consolation semi-finalists have been determined, there will be a crossover, in which the semi-finalists will face the opposite consolation semi-finalists. If the third place finisher has not met the second place finisher, they will meet to determine the true first alternate.

Registration Fee: $10.00 (+$10.00 AAWA daily membership fee is not already an AAWA member)

*All athletes that make the team must purchase a full AAWA membership at $65 if not members before the trials. If the $10 daily fee was purchased at the event, an additional $55 will be charged.
