*You can save this experiment for when you study solutions. I put it here because it uses precise measurements and you can also emphasize lab safety. If your student has colors left on his hands after the experiment, you can point out how you could be dealing with chemical burns if that was a dangerous chemical instead of food coloring! / Look at a plasma globe – we have a real one, so we plugged it in and did some experiments. You can also look at one online.
