Exam Review-remaining days prior to exam week

Each 9-weeks grade counts as 37.5% of your semester grade. The exam counts as 25% of your semester grade.

CALCULATORS

We will be using calculators extensively in this class. You will need to purchase one for homework purposes. It will need to have a LOG key, and EXPONENT (EXP OR EE) KEY, and a square root key. TI-30 or TI-25 calculators are reasonably priced and work fine for our purposes. YOU DO NOT NEED A GRAPHING CALCULATOR TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK, BUT YOU DO NEED A CALCULATOR. Calculators on computers can be changed to scientific calculators if you click the “VIEW” button on the computer’s calculator.

GRADING

Though test grades count the most toward your grade, laboratory grades are very important. Lab reports must be turned in on time and include the proper information and format. Tests will be given at the end of each chapter and each project is worth a test grade. Grade categories and percentages of each 9-weeks grade are as follows:

Academic

Tests: 45%

Quizzes: 10%

Labs: 35%

Class Work: 5%

Homework: 5%
