Upon graduation from law school, Judge Dickson worked for Georgaklis and Korn, and later with Clawson, Dickson and Wilson before joining the Office of the Attorney General. Subsequently, he became Chief Staff Attorney for the Child Support Enforcement Division of the Department of Social Services and later General Counsel for the Second Injury Fund. In 1991 he returned to private practice joining the firm of Williams and Williams in Orangeburg, S.C. In 2006 he began working for the State Budget and Control Board as attorney for the Chief Information Officer and later for the General Services Division.

Upon graduation from law school, Judge Goodstein served as an associate in the firm of Goodstein, Bowling, Douglas & Phillips from 1981 to 1983. In 1983, she became a Partner/Vice President in the firm of Goodstein & Goodstein, P.A., until 1998. She served as the County Attorney for Dorchester County from 1986 to 1988. Judge Goodstein was elected by the South Carolina General Assembly to the position of Resident Circuit Judge for the First Judicial Circuit in May 1998. She has since been appointed to the Circuit Court Judges Advisory Committee and is a member of the Commission on Judicial Conduct.

Upon graduation from law school, Judge Young practice law at Young and Young, P.A. He was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives and served from 1994 to 1998 and from 2000 to 2002. He was elected to the bench in the Third Judicial Circuit in Family Court. He served as a Family Court Judge from 2004 until 2009. He was elected as Circuit Court Judge at-large on February 11, 2009.
