No lessons on public holidays - April 25, May 04, June 03, June 08.
All adjustments to term 2 should be indicated on invoices.
Memo to parents - as we have just completed week 5 of the current term, it would be appreciated if all term fee invoices could be finalized immediately.
Fundraising 2009
Thank you to everyone who helped support our Term 1 Fundraising events – so far we’ve made around $2000!!! Congratulations Tullie McKenzie, our highest contributing fundraiser who was awarded a basketball as a prize.
Our fundraiser for Term 2 is a Trivia Night on Saturday 8th August. Book your table, $10 per person, teams of 6 – 8 people. Doors open at 7 pm for a 7.30 pm start. Great prizes & bar operating. Get your team together now
Gymnastics Training Area
Reminder – the training area for trampoline & gymnastics is specifically for participating gymnasts and coaches. Spectators are not allowed in the white chained area nor on the tiered seating. This is a safety rule as well as to prevent interruptions to lessons. First point of contact for all parents is the club office administrator, then arrangements will be made for you to speak with your child’s coach.

WAG NEWS
Congratulations to all the girls who competed at the recent Gladstone invitational, by all accounts a rewarding effort for all competitors involved. Keep up the hard work and good luck with the many upcoming events this term. Results Level 4 – 1st Overall Taylah Kinsey, 3rd Overall Samantha Thomasson, 8th Overall Remi Cowan, Level 5 – 1st Overall Maddison Black, 4th Overall Bronte Davis-Goff, Level 6 - 4th Overall Tiffany Hart.
Congratulations also to the 3, 4, 5 & 6 girls who competed in Mackay over May Day long weekend. Level 3 U/9 – 2nd Overall Lydia Durkin, 3rd Overall Faith Lawrie, 6th Overall Tullie Mackenzie, Level 3 O/9 1st Overall Maleeta Blackwood, Level 4 – 1st Overall Remi Cowan, 2nd Overall Taylah Kinsey, 3rd Overall Samantha Thomasson, Level5 1st Overall Maddison Black, Kate Ivers passed her level 5 test.

MAG NEWS
Vici Park welcomes to our coaching staff, new MAG coach Thomas Waegele. Thomas is a level 1 MAG coach, with his background in gymnastics as a gymnast and coach at the Gladstone Club.
Thomas & Zane’s classes are already almost at maximum participation.
Lookingforward to re-establishing our competitive MAG program with the first event June 13/14 Dolphin Invitational at Vici Park.
RG NEWS
Recently Jade Wright and Rebecca Patterson participated in a training clinic in Gladstone with Edith Peluso. Edith is a rhythmic coach at Moreton Bay Club and coach to Naazmi Johnston, Australia’s only Rhythmic Olympic athlete at Beijing. The girls learnt a great deal from this clinic, and are looking forward to the next clinic.

Looking at the development of our program it was extremely rewarding & pleasing to see 60 Vici Park trampolinists compete in the CQ Interclub with 65 medal winning performances.
Thank you to all our parents - supporting the competitive endeavours of our trampolinists. Thank you to all our parents ~ assisting with the convening of the 2 day event.
Victorian Championships 11-13/04/09
Vici Park represented by 3 competitors in the Victorian Championships met with success - *Riley Glazebrook gold medal u/17 trp, u/17 dmt, jnr dmt, silver medal jnr trp, *Patrick Cooper bronze medal jnr trp, *Riley & Patrick gold medal u/17 syn trp, jnr syn trp, *Jarrod Spear silver medal Snr Syn Trp.
Both Riley & Patrick were successful in meeting the qualifying scores required for national selection for the World Age group Games in Russia, November 2009.
