Perfect Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar (can reduce to 3/4 cup)
  • 1 cup water (for the simple syrup)
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 3 to 4 cups cold water (to dilute)

Directions

1 . make simple syrup by heating the sugar and water in a small saucepan until the sugar is dissolved completely.

2 . while the sugar is dissolving, use a juicer to extract the juice from 4 to 6 lemons, enough for one cup of juice.

3 . add the juice and the sugar water to a pitcher. Add 3 to 4 cups of cold water, more or less to the desired strength. Refrigerate 30 to 40 minutes. If the lemonade is a little sweet for your taste, add a little more straight lemon juice to it.

Serve with ice, sliced lemons.

Light Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe

This recipe for light spaghetti carbonara make four servings; each serving contains 275 calories, 21g of protein, 22 g of carbohydrate and 10 g of fat.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 10 slices of extra lean turkey bacon
  • water
  • salt
  • spaghetti
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • Black pepper
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Directions

1. heat 1 tbsp. of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-heat. You can use light olive oil cooking spray and a non-stick pan to cut back even more on fat and calories.

2. add 10 slices of finely diced extra-lean turkey bacon and cook until crisp, stirring regularly.

3. pour off all fat from the pan. Additionally, pad the bacon with paper towels to remove even more fat.

4. boil three quarts of water and 2 tbsp. of salt. Add 1/4 lb. of spaghetti and cook until done. Drain and add the spaghetti to the skillet with the cooked bacon.

5.mix 1 quart of warm water, 4 large eggs and 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and lightly whip together. Add the egg mix to the skillet and toss over medium heat until the eggs are firm.

6.season with black pepper and serve. You can also add little bit more grated Parmesan cheese.
