Old Business:

YOUTH MEETING: Mike Hians from Battlefield is helping bring Spotsylvania to join us for next year.

Youth clubs present their Conservation projects

Madison Co. - Chase Berry presented they picked up trash over 20 bags where it went to a creek.

Also, helped with Heritage Day at Graves Mountain Lodge. Apple Harvest Festival work booths and help other vendors.

Anthony Houchen with Greene Co. said they sold ice cream at the fair and did some clean-ups at the high school and the fair.

Allen Ellinger of OCHS completed 9 community service projects. Trash pick up at several lakes and they did lake structures for Lake of the Woods about 150 structures. Paper recycling event.

35 registered anglers for OCHS with 25 average anglers for local events and 20 at the state event.

Also, Frederick Co. has done numberous clean-ups in a gated community. They hold a seminar event each year on a lake and invite youth to do conservation and help the park in Winchester.

JSC, High School Championship (James Graves & Kaden Thens; Dylan & Chase Berry) and Youth Championship (Jacob Neff and Hedrick) Chase Berry told about the BNC High School Championship. Kentucky Lake was very hot in July.

Jon Crews will recognize the Academic Elite at the Richmond Show.

8/9/15 They had Joseph Thomson 6 Man and donated $100 to Scholarship fund.

Dylan Berry and James Graves were All American for the state of VA.

James Graves & Anthony Houchens received $500 each for Joseph Thomson Scholarship

They both wrote great thank you notes for the state and scholarship. James Graves wanted to get help starting Bridge Water College fishing.

2015 Calendar Team Championship, April 11-12, 2015 – Team events went well and the members like it.

March 29, 2015 - JSQ# 3 at Chickahominy Riverfront Park

April 25-26, 2015 – JSC by Invitation Only

April 25-26, 2015 – State Team Fish Off

New 2016 format will allow the top non-boater to be able to advance to the Classic and fish as a boater on the last day.

We need a new tournament director due to Phillip's health. Send him text, email or get well cards.

New Business:

2015 Calendar - August 22, 2015 – BASS FOR GRASS, Open on Claytor Lake State Park, please participate

Fall Classic – 2016 State Team Event – Qualify 20 person team – see attached

Motion to change the entry fee for the boater to $90 and the non-boater to $50 motion by Mike Boitnott and second by Joan Blankenship. All approved. Use regular rules. Entries due October 1, 2015.

Open to the whole state as long as you are in good standing with your region. One time only

2016 Calendar- Pending ramps. Dates for 2016 set per board. OCHS has invited any and all clubs to fish their events.

Motion to give $400 per team to the youth that went to the High School Championship by Steve Woodroof and second by Ed Clayton. All approved.

2016 Membership - Ideas to increase membership - $360 dues per club. Two clubs combine to pay your dues to keep the dues the same.

AMENDED: B.A.S.S. has not increased their dues for 2016. The dues will remain the same.

FACEBOOK - Send pictures to Abby Ryan to post and include names with pictures. We need to Tweet and Blog.

Report from Region Directors & Casting Kids & Conservation & Tournament

Conservation Update - Attached. BASS FOR GRASS Open Tournament is 8/22/15 at Claytor Lake State Park. $100 per team.

Region 1 - Getting ready for youth day 9/19/15 w/DGIF and they are asking for money. Did not get Walmart to sponsor this year.

Region 2 - Larry Witt is stepping down and Charlie Davis is taking over as Region 2 Director.

Region 3 - Going well and averaging 15 boats per event. Supported Richmond youth day. Booths set up to help youth learn how to fish and cast. Green Top and City of Richmond supported.

Region 7 - All events are done for the year. 1st weekend of Oct. is youth day and open tournament.

Region 10 - Work on guys to fish the Fall Classic.

VP- lst event of 2016 is in September. Maybe 2 at Buggs and 2 at SML. His & Hers had 32 boats. Took 14.19 to win event. Travis Toe and wife won, Pam and Tim Statton got 2nd place. They are fishing at night on SML during the summer.
